IKEPOD Megapode M106 MATTI

The Ikepod Megapod Automatic retains the iconic Ikepod shape in a stainless-steel case, slightly larger at 46mm compared to the original Newson-era Megapod Date’s 47mm. However, thanks to its lug-less design, it wears more like a 43mm watch. This affordable iteration had to make some concessions compared to the pricey originals. The case now has a removable back for movement access instead of the original’s one-piece construction with a flush bezel.

The strap is made of rubber with a pin buckle, in contrast to the original minimalist Ikepod strap, which is now standard on the Apple Watch designed by Marc Newson. The Megapod’s dial design was created by Alexandre Peraldi, the former design chief of Baume & Mercier.
